Our trained tutors provide individual counseling in writing for Texas State students at any level
of study. This includes help with all types of writing—such as essays, research papers,
cover letters, essay exams, and resumes.  We also tutor for the GSP.

Call 512.245.3018 or drop by Flowers Hall G09 to arrange your 30- or 60-minute appointment.

  • Texas State Writing Center at SCWCA Conference

    (Carter Maddox, Sara Stamets, Nancy Wilson, Amy Kuehl, Keri Fitzgerald, Elizabeth Threadgill, Jessica Listi, Stephanie Redburn)

    Several members of the Texas State Writing Center staff presented at the 2009 South Central Writing Center Association Conference at Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas. Sessions included
    Becoming a Safe Place for LGBTQ Students" (Keri Fitzgerald, Stephanie Redburn, Nancy Wilson), "How to Find Pleasure in Online Tutoring: Adobe Connect" (Amy Kuehl, Jessica Listi, Sara Stamets), "Words Work" (Carter Maddox and Elizabeth Threadgill), and "Writing Center 2.0: The Pleasurable Elements of the Online Writing Center" (Bettina Ramon, Jenna Allen, Stephanie Stewart).

  • Deanna Ledezma has been selected to receive the Outstanding Undergraduate Student in English Award
     
  • Carter Maddox's play, East / West, has been published in GuysWriters Magazine
