Texas State Writing Center at SCWCA Conference

Several members of the Texas State Writing Center staff presented at the 2009 South Central Writing Center Association Conference at Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas. Sessions included
"Becoming a Safe Place for LGBTQ Students" (Keri Fitzgerald, Stephanie Redburn, Nancy Wilson), "How to Find Pleasure in Online Tutoring: Adobe Connect" (Amy Kuehl, Jessica Listi, Sara Stamets), "Words Work" (Carter Maddox and Elizabeth Threadgill), and "Writing Center 2.0: The Pleasurable Elements of the Online Writing Center" (Bettina Ramon, Jenna Allen, Stephanie Stewart).
Deanna Ledezma has been selected to receive the Outstanding Undergraduate Student in English Award
Carter Maddox's play, East / West, has been published in GuysWriters Magazine
