2008 Summer Creative Writing Camp

With funding from the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, the Texas State University Writing Center once again offered a Creative Writing Camp for high school students. 

Fourteen high school students from all over Texas attended the camp.  Campers received writing instruction from MFA students Katie Angermeier, Nathan Baran, Billie Bernard, and Benjamin Engel.  They also attended special presentations at the Aquarena Center and the Witliff Gallery. 

The campers produced a journal entitled (De)Centaurs and gave a public reading at the Katherine Anne Porter House in Kyle, Texas.
